NDOT SR-431/SR-28 Tahoe Rehabilitation Project 

This multi-year project includes repaving and some full reconstruction, ADA improvements, and ITS installment on SR-431 at Mt. Rose Summit to the lake, and along SR-28 from state line to Sand Harbor State Park. The project will also make much needed drainage improvements at Marlette Creek improving water quality before it enters Lake Tahoe.

Coeur Rochester POA11 Expansion

Plan of Operations 11 (POA11) will expand the mine’s life to 2033 by modifying and adding to the existing operation infrastructure of the mine. The project includes expansion of the Rochester and Packard Pits, relocation of spent ore from Stage I Heap Leach Pad (HLP) and a portion of Stage II HLP to Stage V HLP, construction of two new heap leach pads, construction of two new processing facilities, increase in waste rock storage capacity, construction of two new Rochester and Packard crushing systems, and enhancements to site utilities and infrastructure.

RTC Lemmon Drive Traffic Improvements & Resiliency Project

Lemmon Drive is located within the FEMA 100-year floodplain and is designated as a Special Flood Hazard. Residents in the area struggle with ongoing access concerns after sections of the roadway were closed for months due to flooding in 2017. This project will work with the community and regional partners to design and construction a roadway that will realign Lemmon Drive above the 100-year floodplain to help provide safe connectivity for future extreme weather events.

RTC Virginia Street Bus RAPID Transit Extension

The project addressed critical transportation needs including improving transit operations by extending the Virginia Line RAPID transit service to the University of Nevada, Reno, correcting ADA sidewalk deficiencies, improving traffic operations and beautifying the corridor. Project features included extensive underground utility improvements, two new roundabouts, several new bus stations, full reconstruction of the roadway, new sidewalk and lighting, and the planting of over 300 new trees.
